Michigan State University selected Granger to design-build a fast-track addition and renovation of the Duffy Daugherty/Skandalaris Football Building. This new facility, named the Tom Izzo Football Building, was designed to support several programmatic needs for student athletes, including wellness and recovery, student activities and increased equipment room space. The project also improved operational flow within the existing football practice facility.
- This project provided state-of-the-art facilities to support the evolution of the football program.
- The existing facility was undersized by approximately 40% in comparison to new and renovated facilities across the conference and the country.
- The new addition included a team locker room, informal meeting spaces, strength and conditioning on both the first and second floors, nutrition area, operational improvements and a marquee entry to the south side of the building.
