separate and consecutive pharmacy projects to meet new USP 800 requirements. The outpatient pharmacy project, located in the out-patient services building directly above the
outpatient surgery center, involved remodeling the existing Cancer Center waiting room and pharmacy to create a larger area for the pharmacy. The in-patient pharmacy project is located in the lower level of the main hospital. Both projects include clean/sterile rooms and improved ventilation to meet new codes. Granger also installed a new air handling unit in the existing penthouse to support both pharmacy renovation projects.

During a finish upgrade project, Sparrow Hospital found mold behind existing vinyl wall covering on the 5 Foster Pediatric floor. Further investigation found this was a floor-wide issue. Due to past successes on the 8 South Renovation and 6 Foster (Mary Free Bed) Renovation, Sparrow bypassed bidding and contracted directly with Granger to renovate the floor.

This project involved the expansion and full renovation of the Cancer Center on the SJM Ann Arbor campus, originally built in 1993. The existing two-story building was originally a business occupancy space with basement storage and utility area, adjacent to the hospital’s Radiation Oncology department.
A two-story addition was constructed toward the parking lot, adding approximately 12,000 SF of new floor area to the facility. The project will also provide approx. 9,300 SF of new support areas within the existing footprint of the lower level.
