This project consists of a new 15-story, 252-room, Four-Diamond Hotel that will offer luxury suites, a full-service spa and three restaurants along with a fully enclosed glass-domed pool and nightlife entertainment space.

Granger Construction was selected to perform the structural concrete package in a design-assist capacity.

Granger participated in the pre-construction process by providing system design evaluation, value engineering, BIM coordination/clash detection, constructability, team building, and schedule evaluation. Our team also closely monitored the design evolution for quality and cost impacts to the structural concrete portion of the work.

Granger’s design-assist involvement helped improve constructability as well as budget and schedule certainty through our detailed input on lead times.

Scope of the design-assist structural concrete package included:

  • 12 months of design-assist pre-construction services from SD to CD drawings
  • 16 Levels/ 250,000 SF of conventional and post tensioned decks, shear walls and foundations
  • 12,000 cubic yards of concrete
  • 1,500 tons of reinforcing steel
  • 50 miles of post tensioned reinforcing cable
  • Construction of (2) 200’ tall elevator cores

Granger’s Virtual Design & Construction team provided extensive support on this project, helping to increase quality and maintain the schedule through BIM coordination/clash detection and providing strict documentation requirements using 3D laser scanning technology with our in-house drone capabilities.
