2019 Bond
Granger Construction helped Onsted Community Schools pass its 2019 bond for $12.8 million, following a successful $16.2 million bond campaign in 2010 that resulted in the completion of district-wide improvements. The 2019 Bong Program calls for updating all three schools buildings on campus as well as the board of education and transportation facilities.
Elementary School:
- Gym upgrades (flooring, bleachers, ceilings and curtains)
- Entryway upgrades, site work and exterior lighting replacement
- Classroom furniture and technology
- Media Center renovations and furniture
- Partial roofing replacement, selective flooring replacement and storm sewer reconstruction
Middle School:
- Classroom furniture and technology
- Safety and security improvements at main entry
- Site work and roofing replacement
- Media Center renovations and furniture
- Gym balcony flooring replacement and new cheer and wrestling mats
High School:
- Classroom furniture and technology and new Auditorium carpet and seating
- Safety and security improvements at main entry
- Site work, new tennis courts, new cafeteria tables
- Locker room renovation and expansion and music storage expansion
2010 Bond
Granger Construction helped Onsted Community Schools pass a $16.2 million Bond Proposal in May of 2010. The result of that successful bond funded district-wide improvements.
Elementary School:
- Extended main entry with canopy
- Relocation of main office
- Remodeling of kitchen/serving area
- Remodeling of public restrooms
- Major technical/electrical upgrades including Geoexchange for heating and cooling
- Roofing replacement
- Windows and fire alarm system upgrade
- Classroom furniture replacement
- Site improvements to sidewalks, drives, parking lots and drainage
Middle School:
- Replacement of moveable walls with permanent walls
- Mechanical/electrical upgrades for heating and cooling
- Roofing replacement
- Fire alarm system upgrade
- Classroom furniture replacement
- Site improvements to sidewalks, drives, parking lots and drainage
High School:
- Rebuilding of main electrical service to campus for code compliance
- Classroom updates
- Window and furniture replacements in community-built wing
- Mechanical/electrical upgrades to integrate systems with other buildings
- Replacement of roofing over oldest portions of building
- Site improvements to sidewalks, drives, parking lots and drainage
