In April 2019, Granger Construction completed a phased, full renovation of the Spectrum Health Corporate Executive System Office in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This Included the creation of a new administration front entrance and lobby, system boardroom, executive offices/suites, hoteling spaces for executive use, conference rooms, work café and restrooms.

  • Special construction included the structural removal of a column and installation of a new, larger carrying beam in the center of the existing 5th floor.
  • Coordinated shoring at multiple floors and completion off-shift. Resulted in an expanded structural grid to facilitate a large, open boardroom.
  • This renovation project for Spectrum Health involved a high-profile, sensitive work area, requiring a thoughtful strategy and execution. Our team coordinated creative work-sequencing solutions to execute significant structural changes on multiple occupied floors during weekends and off-hours to minimize disruption to operations.
  • The improvements at Spectrum will allow for larger open collaboration spaces and conference rooms.
