Spectrum Health Grand Haven Center (formerly Health Pointe Integrated Care Facility) began as a partnership between Holland Hospital and Spectrum Health to provide extensive primary care and urgent care services to the Grand Haven community.

The new three-story medical building includes office space and a surgical center for outpatient procedures. The medical office portion of the facility provides 14 urgent care exam rooms, a radiology suite, an orthopedic suite and primary care spaces. The one-story surgical center offers a four-room operating room suite, a two-room endoscopy suite and PACU/prep and recovery units.

99% of the contractors that worked on this job were located within a 60-mile radius of the project site.

The project team exceeded the Owner’s goals as occupancy occurred five weeks earlier than originally planned and the project was completed $2 million under budget.

Granger leveraged state-of-the-art technology for document management (PlanGrid), team-based visual schedule management (TouchPlan) and visual estimate communication (CostX) to ensure the highest levels of quality, productivity and cost management.

The site team implemented a jobsite Lean Operating Strategy that included Co-Locating with all key project trades in one large office trailer, resulting in more timely decision-making and more effective management of the overall schedule, cost change, quality and safety.
